DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SEW FOR THIS EASY CHRISTMAS SEWING PROJECT?
For this tutorial, the only sewing skills required is that you can thread your machine (and bobbin), and know how to sew a straight line! If you're brand new to sewing, this is the perfect tutorial for you! And if you are a more seasoned sewer, you can use this project as inspiration to expand on with your skills.

HOW TO MAKE GINGERBREAD PATTERN BUNTING DECOR
1. Download and print THIS gingerbread pattern.
2. Choose which size gingerbread pattern you prefer, and cut it out. Then, trace the pattern onto your felt with a felt tip pen.
3. Cut out each gingerbread with good scissors.
Steps 2 & 3 are a little tedious with the tracing and cutting, so this is a good time to turn up the Christmas music or have a favorite holiday movie on in the background!
4. Thread your sewing machine with thread that will blend well with your felt color, and set the stitch length on the sewing machine to about 2 or 3.
Leave about 6-12 inches of thread pulled out before you start sewing, to leave room for hanging the bunting. Then, begin your first stitches across the arms of the gingerbread.
When you get to the end of one gingerbread, line up the next one almost overlapping it, and continue sewing. Leave 6-12 inches of thread at the end of the bunting for hanging.
TIP:
If your felt is on the thinner side, your machine might have issues with guiding the material through. If that's the case, don't panic! Simply release the presser foot, make a small adjustment to get the fabric back on track and continue. Small imperfections won't make a big difference.
For the thread, choose all purpose polyester or cotton thread for sewing this bunting with a sewing machine.
