Cozy, natural, and cheery is how I would describe this country cottage Christmas decor style. A combination of old and new, country cottage Christmas decor can be both classic and fun. This is the time of year to add color and cheer to your home.
TOP TEN COZY COUNTRY COTTAGE CHRISTMAS DECOR IDEAS
1. GARLAND
Although not the most exciting piece to pick out for your Christmas decor, quality garland makes a big difference in the overall aesthetic of your decor. Layering 2-3 different types will give a fuller, bold look. Using less will give a more minimal look.
In this picture:
Real, natural garland from a local store (messy, but pretty!)
Faux Cedar Garland
(found this originally from Target with the Hearth & Hand brand, but couldn't find it! (Similar HERE!)
Eucalyptus Garland
Hobby Lobby and Target carry this garland.
:: DECORATING TIP ::
I use these mini command hooks every year for hanging decor around the house. They can easily be covered up under garland or a mini wreath. Make sure the surface where you are hanging is clean and dust free before sticking on the hooks. Let the hook adhere to the surface before hanging the decor.
To hang heavier garland and keep it in place, I like these larger command hooks.
2. WHITE FUR STOCKINGS
We have used these ivory, fur stockings for years. We have moved homes several times, and these stockings have looked beautiful in every one. They are a great, cozy, neutral staple for Christmas decor!
3. SIMPLE ADVENT CALENDAR
Similar minimal advent calendars cab be found HERE, HERE, and HERE. The one I bought years ago is no longer available on Etsy. I absolutely love using it with these ornaments to hang on our little wooden tree each day, to go with advent.
4. FLAMELESS CANDLES
Another decorating essential for Christmas and making your space cozy, are these flameless candles. They come with a remote to switch on/off, and are perfect for keeping out all winter long.

Amaryllis bulbs in wax are an easy way to add something fresh and lively to your Christmas decor. This set of three from Costco makes it so easy to grow them. You don't even have to add water.
7. NUTCRACKER
Another neutral, elegant decorative piece...I love this metallic, gold nutcracker and how it blends with the other decor. Similar item HERE.
